Working Ability

  • Started allrounder.
  • Natural paddock work.
  • Confident and effective in yards will back and bark, although he can be a little tight-lipped.
  • Developing a good sit and 50% on his sides.
  • Shows great potential and a willingness to please.

Temprement

  • Strong work drive.
  • Forward and confident, but biddable.
  • Suited to a kind, confident  but firm handler.

Blaze is a big, leggy dog whith a huge love for his work.

He works well out in the paddock or driving sheep down a laneway. He’s confident in yards and loves backing for drafting or pushing up to the shearing shed.

He doesn’t quite have the pace when backing to pack a race but will have a go. I have taught Blaze to bark but it’s not overly natural to him.

Blaze is a sweet-natured, lovely dog who is biddable and wants to please, but he can also push the buttons at times. He’ll suit a confident but kind handler.

He’s still early in his working career and does make mistakes, as you would expect from a young dog.  He is ready to go to work and get some miles under his belt.
